What we collect#
Website visits (anonymous)#
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless service. It provides anonymous, aggregated statistics about website usage, such as page views and visitors’ countries. It does not use cookies, build visitor profiles, or identify individual users.
We do not use Google Analytics or any cross-site tracking technology.
Newsletter subscriptions#
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send you the updates you have requested. The newsletter is delivered using Buttondown, which stores your subscription details on our behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.
When you contact us#
If you email us (for example, at hello@momenthill.com or consultancy@momenthill.com), we receive your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to include in your message. This is the minimum information needed to reply.
Why we collect it (lawful basis)#
- Correspondence: Legitimate interests. You initiate contact and we need your details to reply, which is what any reasonable person would expect.
- Newsletter: Consent. You choose to subscribe and may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing.
- Anonymous analytics: Legitimate interests. Understanding how the site is used helps us improve it. The data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.
How long we keep it#
- Correspondence: 12 months from your last message, then deleted. If an enquiry becomes an active client relationship, records are retained for 7 years for tax and contractual purposes.
- Newsletter subscriptions: Until you unsubscribe.
- Anonymous analytics: Aggregated statistics are retained by Cloudflare in accordance with their service.
Who we share it with#
We use the following service providers to operate the website and communicate with you:
- Cloudflare – website hosting and cookieless web analytics.
- Microsoft 365 – business email.
- Buttondown – newsletter delivery and subscription management.
These providers act as data processors where applicable. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your rights#
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
